Scenarios

The following list enumerates the architectural scenarios that should be supported by the SORMA system. Thus, we use it to derive requirements for the SORMA architecture:

Some of the requirements derived from the architectural scenarios:

  • trading support for low-level resources and for higher-level services with dependencies
  • support for multiple different market models (in parallel)
  • applications require continuous "real-time" allocation, pre-planned batch job allocation
  • dynamic (re-)allocation
  • powerful service descriptions (e.g. covering dependencies in service value chains, licenses, QoS,...)
  • simple management interface for virtual resources
  • data gathering interfaces along all abstraction levels
